This harvest we present a sweet and very aromatic representation of the castillo varietal, with caramel and juicy of peaches in the cup. It all closes with notes of orange blossom.

We are Luisa Mejía and Francisco Minotta, and La Tierra is our latest regenerative coffee farm.

Tierra means „Earth, Soil“ in Spanish. This is a tiny coffee farm located at 1.600 meters high on the stunning Colombian Andes. When we bougth the farm in 2023, it was cultivated with conventional methods. This is our newest project and we are working hard to transform it with regenerative agriculture. Slowly, we see birds and other species returning. Plenty of rare native trees are conserved here, allowing us to produce shade-grown coffee.

This harvest of La Tierra, was very special as we had an important guest at the farm. The Jaguarundi, a small wild cat from Latin America, considered one of the least studied feline species in the world. It is amazing to see how beautiful nature is!

We believe in producing exceptional coffee in harmony with nature and with respect for the people behind it.

This coffee is roasted to shine in any method you choose—filter, immersion, or espresso.

Our roasting philosophy is simple. We roast light to medium to reveal what the soil, altitude, and careful processing have already created.

Because of this approach, brewing becomes an active experiment. The guidelines below are a foundation, not rules. Understanding how small adjustments in the grinding, water quality and temperature, affect your cup will help you discover the best of this harvest.

We have adjusted the price of our coffee, to reflect increasing changes in the production costs. With more severe climate conditions, we are producing  less coffee.

We have been also facing logistic challenges, the cost for transporting the coffee from Colombia has been taking longer and is getting more expensive.
