With love, from our new regenerative project.

We are thrilled to release the first harvest of our new farm La Tierra. Tierra means „Earth, Soil“ in Spanish. This farm is located 1.600 meters high on the stunning Colombian Andes. We bought the farm in 2023 and it was cultivated with conventional methods, however, plenty of rare native trees are conserved here, allowing us to produce shade-grown coffee.

We started using regenerative agriculture right after the purchase, building and activating the biology to get healthy soil and planting other plant species. A walk on this farm makes you feel like you are in a lush jungle. Surrounded by huge native trees, birds lying around, the sound of wind and water, a breath of fresh air. It makes you feel connected to the Earth.

This is the first harvest of La Tierra and nature presents a clean, sweet, and juicy, cup with flavors of chocolate, toffee, and fruity acidity that reminds of raspberries. It all closes with notes of wild honey.  We used the traditional washed method and then left the coffee to ferment for 36 hours. This process ends in a very clean and juicy taste, typically found in Colombia’s Coffee. Our coffee is then roasted to perfection in Kiel – Germany by Marietta Leonhard, Kopiton.

The roast profile follows the natural taste of the coffee (Omni-roast). We present a light to medium roast that can be used for both filter and espresso. This style of roast presents a unique flavor profile, that pays respect to the terroir. Don’t expect the bitter notes of the classic espresso here. Our coffee is Freshly roasted, every week.

Delicious taste

Our sustainably grown coffee has a unique and exquisite flavor profile with notes of toffee caramel, melted chocolate, red wine, and roses, making each cup a true indulgence.

High-quality

Our coffee is produced using regenerative agriculture and the traditional washed method, resulting in a very clean and juicy taste that has been awarded 85 SCA points, meaning it’s excellent in quality.

responsibility

We are committed to supporting fair wages and job training for our workers, as well as conservation efforts that preserve tropical forests and their endangered species, so you can feel good about the coffee you’re drinking.

THE STORY

BEHIND THE HARVEST

This coffee was harvested between March and May 2023 and has been awarded 85 SCA points which means excellent. In contrast to the last three very wet years, this year Colombia has been affected by “El Niño” (The Boy). This climate event increases the amount of sunshine and decreases rainfall. In practical aspects for our farm, it means more production, however also a great danger to our plants. We believe and are committed to this transformation and are focused on one thing: producing delicious high-quality Colombian coffee in harmony with nature and respect for the people behind it. We strongly believe in the power of nature and aspire to understand how a productive ecosystem can work in harmony with nature and people and not against it. We seek to show that we all together have the power to make a change with the decisions we make.
