Our two small coffee farms are located in the Andean mountains of Quindio Colombia.
The rare quality of the volcanic soil and the high altitude create special conditions for the unique quality of our coffee.

to demonstrate that coffee can be produced in harmony with nature and respecting the people who produce it is now real.
Now, a second farm “La Tierra” started this transformation, and little by little we will be more!

Our first regenerative project

Chapter 1
EL CIELO…
means “heaven, sky” in spanish.
In the morning standing here with a warm cup of coffee in your hands, the first sip freshly brewed coffee, looking at the mountains, you can see the clouds rolling up the cordillera, it feels as being above in the sky.
Chapter 2
The farm has an incredible view from a mountain that streches down and end in a spring. When we bought the farm in 2017 it was cultivated with conventional methods, including the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, monoculture & full sun exposure. After years of hard work we transformed it by using regenerative agriculture.
Chapter 3
We planted new native trees that take time to grow, we planted disease resistant varietals and left the nature around the spring untouched.
Chapter 4
El Cielo is our first regenerative project, with many challenges and learnings and we have seen its transformation: the the birds and other animals species have been returning. Our plants are much more resilient to face extended periods of rain.
It makes us proud to see how beautiful nature is and to be a part of it.

La Tierra
OUR NEW PROJECT

LA TIERRA…
La Tierra means “Earth, Soil” in Spanish. It is located at 1.600 meters high on the stunning Colombian Andes. A walk in this farm makes you feel in a lush jungle.
Surrounded by huge native trees, birds flying around, the sound of wind and water, a breath of fresh air. It makes you feel connected to the Earth.
Chapter 2
The farm is in a very steep mountain that ends in a river with a small waterfall.
We bought the farm in 2022 and it was cultivated with conventional methods, including the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, monoculture, however plenty of rare native trees are conserved here, allowing us to produce shade grown coffee.
Chapter 3
We started using regenerative agriculture right after the purchase, building and activating the microbiology to get a healthy soil and planting other plant species. We are excited to see how La Tierra unfolds.
Wie wir den Klimawandel bekämpfen mit regenerativer Landwirtschaft
Krankheitsresistente Kaffeepflanzen helfen uns, die Auswirkungen von Trockenheit und Hitze zu bekämpfen. Wir regenerieren den Boden mit Fruchtfolge, Deckfrüchten und Kompostierung.
Die Agroforstwirtschaft und die biologische Vielfalt spielen eine wichtige Rolle, da Bäume die Vogelpopulationen unterstützen und den Insektenbefall und den Bedarf an Pestiziden verringern.
Bäume tragen auch dazu bei, die Bodenerosion zu mindern und die Temperatur in unseren Farmen zu regulieren. Neben Kaffee bauen wir Kochbananen, tropische Früchte, Blumen, Zitrusbäume, Bohnen und große einheimische Bäume an.
Kolumbien ist ein megadiverses Land. Es steht weltweit an erster Stelle, was die Anzahl der Vögel angeht. In der Region Quindio, wo sich unsere Farm befindet, gibt es 642 Vogelarten, die große Bäume zum Leben brauchen.

Zwei Faktoren sind für eine wirklich gute Tasse Kaffee unerlässlich: gesunde und reichhaltige Ökosysteme und ein Know-how, das über den reinen Anbau hinausgeht.
Unser Kaffeestil ist bewusst einfach gehalten, mit minimaler Beeinflussung, um die natürlichen und ehrlichen Aromen des Terroirs durchscheinen zu lassen.

Jede unserer Kaffeebohnen wird von kleinen Handwerks-Röstereien mit Sorgfalt geröstet. Dieses hat zur die optimale Geschmacksentwicklung zur Folge. Das vollkommene Rosten der Kaffeebohnen erzeugt ein exquisites Aroma in jeder Charge. Unser Kaffee wird jede Woche frisch in Kiel (Norddeutschland) geröstet.

Wir bauen eine Vielzahl weiteren Pflanzen und einheimischer Baumarten an, um 642 Arten von Vogelarten ein Zuhause bieten zu können.
